Life As A Student Blogger: Enjoying an Enlightening Experience
Now that the semester has come to an end, I am able to say "goodbye" and "good riddance" to my classes this semester; however, I must admit that I will miss this blogging experience. The blog has been a significant contributor to my growth as a student. Thanks to the blog, I was able to establish closer ties with my classmates and mentor as well as augment my technological skills and confidence. Sure there were times when I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown, especially when I couldn't upload a picture or get my post to look right, but I was able to persevere and partake in a life-enhancing experience. During this activity, I looked forward to checking my blog and reading the comments of other students. After checking my e-mail, it was the next thing I did when I turned my computer on. This experience allowed me to develop a genuine appreciation for technology, and I would highly recommend blogs for every teacher. No matter what grade, all students can benefit from the high level of interactivity provided by weblogs. As a matter of fact, my love for blogs runs so deep that I have agreed to assist Dr. Baylen with his students' blogs next semester! (What am I getting myself into?) I would like to thank everyone for enabling this wonderful experience to take place, and I wish everyone the best for years to come.

Catherine-
It has been a pleasure having class with you. Thanks again for all your help in preparing for the final. I'm sure we both dominated, though it put up a great fight! We have all come so far and I'm proud of us! Your blog looks amazing...I always looked forward to reading your posts. I especially loved Bad to the Bone. The story you created was so cute and the pictures you took were priceless! I'm kind of sad that this is it. But, hopefully we'll stay in touch next semester because I'm going to be a student mentor as well. Good luck with everything in the future. We survived!

You are a fantastic student, and I really admire your work ethic. Whenever I had the opportunity to read one of your papers, I always found them to be very articulate and interesting. I am glad to hear that you feel optimistic about our test. I was in a slump for a while afterwards... I guess I shouldn't obsess over it. After all, we both worked very hard on it (to the last minute in fact). I am glad that you will also be participating in the blog project next semester. I am looking forward to it because I can make a post without having to worry about a grade. Once again, thank you for all of your help, and good luck next semester!

While I thoroughly enjoyed my blogging experience, there were several instances where I encountered some pretty frustrating complications within blogger. For example, every time I attached a picture to my posts, something unexplainable would go wrong. Either it wouldn’t appear on my post, or there would be an error uploading it. Additionally, when I tried to attach links to the text on my posts, they would always be a different color other than blue. When I would try to change the color, they would appear blue on the blog, but then they would have an ugly brown line under them. These were just a few examples, but so long as I kept trying, I managed to overcome these problems. Sometimes all you have to do is keep trying.
